GOLDYN

Silmo Paris 2025 / Foundation Etnia Barcelona & Moiaussi

EXHIBITION – SILMO PARIS 2025

At SILMO Paris 2025, Goldyn presented the conceptual eyewear object “Queen,” developed within her artistic project Maria Magdalena. The glasses are part of the collection of the Etnia Barcelona Foundation and the MOI AUSSI initiative.

Embedded within the lenses are documentary photographs from performative actions realized during Goldyn’s solo exhibition Maria Magdalena at Palazzo Pisani Revedin in Venice, presented during the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2024. The images show participants walking with their feet directly on the printed photographs from the Maria Magdalena series.

By incorporating these documentary fragments into the lenses, the glasses transform the act of looking into a reflection on image, body and ritual. The viewer encounters the documentation of a gesture in which sacred imagery is physically crossed, touched and reinterpreted.

The work forms part of the evolving collection connected to the Etnia Barcelona Foundation and MOI AUSSI, which from 2026 will be based at the historic Misericordia in Venice.
